Many gardeners who reach the end of a summer season seem to spend hours or even days in tidying up the garden borders but spend only a few minutes raking off leaves from the lawn.
However, the following spring and because there has been little or no maintenance to the lawn surface, the grass does not romp away as well as desired.
It may well be the case that a scarifier or shallow tine spiker has been used to some autumn lawn care maintenance but it is near on impossible to relieve compaction problems deeper down below grass root level.
One of the common challenges we face here at Terrain Aeration is explain to potential clients that there is a solution to deep compaction problems and by injecting compressed air into the soil up to one metre deep we are able to fracture any pan that may have developed over a long period of time.
It may have been the case that a lawn has been impossible to walk or play on after the first rains of the autumn because surface water cannot drain through the crust. This impermeability leads to stagnation around the root zone of the grass which in turn causes a vicious circle.
The long term result is that the lawn owner does not get the benefit of the lawn and the gardener is frequently frustrated.
Using the Remote Terralift is is possible to get into the most inaccessible of gardens and start a process of remedial maintenance that can prolong the use of the lawn because proper surface drainage is taking place and the roots of the grass are breathing properly.
